1. THE CARE OF YOUR PET We will take every care of your pet while it is in our care. On every assessment meeting our staff conduct you will be asked a series of questions relating to your pets general health and behaviour around which we will form an individual care plan to best accommodate both yours and your pet’s needs before we are able to conduct any form of care on your behalf. This questionnaire and care plan will be regularly reviewed but it is the customer’s responsibility to inform our business in whichever way possible of any changes that should have a direct effect on safety of staff or safety of the pet in our care. Failure to do so could directly affect our ability to work safely and may mean suspension or cancelation of our service with little or no notice as well as possible legal action if staff members are put at risk. Any monies paid will not be refundable in these instances. 2. OUR STAFF Our staff have all been picked because of their love of animals and their desire to work with them full time. They have all had extensive practical experience and training in dog pet care and have demonstrated their skills and efficiency in dealing with both pets and owners. At all times our staff have the right to refuse to work with difficult pets with behaviour problems, but will endeavour to do everything within their knowledge to help your pets enjoy their time in our care. The owner agrees to inform DOGGY WALKS ‘N’ WASHES prior to their pets care session if their pet has bitten or has aggressive tendencies. The owner understands they will be held liable for all bites caused by their pets. Due to the expansion and training needs of our service it may be that your pet carer is training towards a City and Guilds Qualification under our Qualified and Guided Supervision and on occasion alone to our stringent standards. We carry out this high level of training to ensure both you, and your pet, receive the best possible service from us both now and in the future. 3. EXAMINATION OF PET We will also examine your pet for any irregular lumps or infections during the care process and if anything is found our pet carer will discuss it with you, but it must be stressed that this is not a professional medical examination as would be given by your vet or medical advice and for this your vet must be consulted. 4. INSURANCE At all times we have full Public liability Insurance etc. in the event of damage, accident or loss to your pet or our staff. Please ask the owner for more details if necessary. 5. DOG WASHING Dog Washing carried out by your pet carer is only a basic level wash designed to replace a simple wash normally carried out in your own home and is not the same as dog washing carried out via our professional grooming parlours which utilise a much deeper cleaning Hydro Bath system and Deodorising etc. Your dog may be returned damp in rare instances where its behaviour doesn’t allow full drying with a blast dryer which is not the case in our professional grooming service wash where additional equipment can be utilised. All dog washing is carried out in our Dog Grooming Parlour ‘Dirty Dog Grooming’ and our pet care staff utilise the Self Service Dog wash room to carry out any dog washing. 6. CANCELLATIONS Cancellation of any services require 48hrs notice and any fees pre-paid for services may not be refundable or possible charges levied of 50% of the booked sessions fee. 7. BOOKING OF APPOINTMENTS Booking of any appointment can be made with your pet carer or through our office. Bookings may require a deposit or up front payment dependant on service booked and regularity.
